Anesthesiology
Joined the Wetzel County Hospital Department of
Anesthesia in September, 2009. Dr. Toma
completed a Neuroanesthesia Fellowship at the
University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in July,
2009. He completed his anesthesia residency at
the University of New Mexico School of Medicine
in 2008 and also did a research fellowship at the
University of Texas, Galveston in 2004. He
completed his Ph.D. and anesthesia residency at
the Burdenko Neurosurgical Institute of Rams in
Moscow, Russia and a psychiatry residency at
the State Medical and Pharmaceutical University
in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. He has done
extensive research and written a significant
number of articles, book chapters and given
many medical presentations. Dr. Toma enjoys
travel, swimming, running and chess.
