





Your Meals
Your meals at Wetzel County Hospital are prepared by the Nutritional Services
department. The Nutritional Services department supervisor or head cook on
weekends will visit you daily to assist with meal selections for the day They also
perform diet training and check for food and drug interactions on a daily basis. Patient
meals are served at the following times:
Breakfast 8:00am
Lunch 12 noon
Dinner 5:00pm
Transitional Care Unit patients are served at the following times:
Breakfast 7:00am
Lunch 12 noon
Dinner 5:00pm
Some tests and examinations may require your meal to be delayed or omitted. Please
ask your nurse or physician if you have any questions.
Guest Meals
For patients under the age of 12, guest meals are provided for the patients sitter at no
charge. The nursing supervisor will contact the Nutritional Services department to
make the request. The nursing supervisor may also make other requests for sitter
trays depending on the patient circumstances.
Special Services
Alternative menus are offered as a special service to our patients. Please ask your
nurse, or Joe as he is making his rounds, if you would like more information on these
services.
Nutrition Counseling
Nutrition counseling is available upon request. If you have questions concerning your
diet or would like a nutrition counseling session, ask your nurse or physician to arrange
a visit from the Hospital dietician.
Cafeteria
The Hospital cafeteria is located at the end of the main hallway and is open to visitors
and families of our patients. Food is prepared daily. Meal times are as follows:
Lunch 11:30am to 1:00pm
Dinner 4:30pm to 5:45pm
Vending machines are available in the cafeteria 24 hrs a day.
