New Martinsville, WV – Charles J. DeNunzio, Jr..,
DO, a physician certified by the American
Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, joined the
Wetzel County Hospital medical staff as a family
practice physician on April 1, 2007. Dr. DeNunzio's
pratice is located 5 miles East of Woodsfield at
45325 St. Rt. 78.
Dr. DeNunzio attended the Pennsylvania State
University where he received a B.S. in Microbiology,
High Distinction. He received his Doctor of
Osteopathy degree from Philadelphia College of
Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his post-
graduate training at West Allegheny Hospital. Dr.
DeNunzio served 6 years in the US Public Health
Services in rural Pennsylvania.
Dr. DeNunzio is a member of the American
Osteopathic Association, American College of
Osteopathic Family Physicians, American
Osteopathic College of Osteopathic and Preventive
Medicine and the West Virginia Association of
Osteopathic Family Physicians. His teaching
affiliations include: Osteopathic Program Director,
Family Practice Residency, Wheeling Hospital;
Associate Professor of Community and Family
Medicine, The Pennsylvania State University; Adjunct
Professor of medicine, Occupational Medicine
Residency, West Virginia University; Clinical Faculty,
Family Practice Residency Program, Western
Pennsylvania Hospital; and Clinical Faculty,
Physician Assistant Program, St. Francis of Loretto.
Dr. DeNunzio received the Senatorial
Scholarship form Pennsylvania State University, was
honored by residents of Cameron County, PA, by
Proclamation of “Dr. DeNunzio Day” on September
16, 1992 and was nominated for the Pugh Charitable
Trust Award in Primary Care in 1993.
