    Subramaniya Chandrasekhar, M.D. (Dr. Sekhar) is a Board Certified
Doctor of Internal Medicine. His office is located at 700 Kevin Drive, New
Martinsville, the former office of Terry Tallman, MD.

in both internal medicine and endocrinology he brings a wealth of knowledge
and valuable skills to help meet the medical needs of our area citizens,” said

    Dr. Chandrasekhar received his medical degree at the Thanjavur Medical
College University of Madras, India. He has completed residencies at the Raja
Mirsadar Hospital; trained in the Department of Anesthesiology at the Stanley
Medical College University of Madras; was resident Senior House surgeon in
Preambur, Madras, India. He was in general medical practice in India from 1983
to 1993.
    In 1993 Dr. Chandrasekhar moved to the United States and worked as a
home health aid on Staten Island, New York as be prepared to take his United
States medical board exams. He completed and externship in the Department of
Medicine at St. Vincent’s Medical Center on Staten Island. His medical training in
the United States included a residency in Endocrinology at the West Virginia
University School of Medicine and in Internal Medicine at Ohio Valley Medical
Center in Wheeling.
    Dr. Chandrasakhar is a United States citizen and is married with two sons.
